What is the process for placing ads? |
1. First, you must register to place ads.
2. After you send the registration form you will receive a confirmation email with a link you must click to activate your account.
3. Now you can login to the site.
4. Click the 'Write Ad' link above the listings.
5. On the ad submission form select a category from the drop down list.
6. Write your ad and submit it.
(we suggest composing your ad in a text editor first. Then copy and paste into our form. This ensures you have a backup copy of your ad.)
7. Your ad will be reviewed by a real human and if accepted will appear on the site within 24 hours. You will receive an email when your ad is approved. If your ad is not approved you will receive an email letting you know.
8. Ads run until you delete them.
9. You may edit your ad after it is approved. (The site admin is notified when ads are edited.)
10. We reserve the right to edit ads for spelling errors and will not approve ads that do not seem to be placed by Port Hope residents.
***The best way to ensure your ad is approved is to include a Port Hope (885) telephone number with your ad.***
